Since March 2024 I have been a Software Engineer at Getrak, where I take part in the architectural restructuring of a real-time vehicle tracking platform.
Since this is an employer’s product, I only include here what can be shared publicly.
Context
A real-time vehicle tracking platform with scalability and system-design limits.
Solution
Took part in the architectural restructuring: Node.js microservices, a Java API gateway and React.js micro frontends. Optimized REST APIs to reduce response time and improve stability under high concurrency. Built and maintained integration services with external systems, including banking systems, payment gateways and third-party APIs. Built interactive dashboards together with designers. Supported infrastructure improvements with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and AWS.
Results
Better API response time and overall stability; better user experience with intuitive dashboards and reports; increased platform scalability for a growing number of concurrent users.
